Part 3 Begin: 2nd Race after the AJ Bell Great North Run in Europe – 2nd Edition of Varso Tower Run

On Saturday, 16th September, I will be taking part in Varso Tower Run 2023 (2nd Edition), which required all the participants to run up a total of 53 Floors, 1382 Steps with an elevation gain of 230m at Varso Tower, the tallest building in Poland that completed last year.

They had their first edition of towerrunning competition last year and Piotr Lobodzinski, the Former World No. 1 Towerrunner from Poland won it with a time of 7 min 27 seconds and that’s the course record for this competition.

This round, there will be many top towerrunners traveling to Warsaw to take part in this competition like the towerrunner from Japan, Ryoji Watanabe (World No. 2), Germany, Andreas Fruhmann (World No. 6), Estonia, Sander Kaur (World No. 7), Czech Republic, Pavel Holec (World No. 8) and the local favorites Piotr Lobodzinski (Defending Champion also the Course Record Holder), Pawel Ruszala (World No. 3), and Mateusz Marunowski (World No. 5). For the female side, from Slovakia, Kamila Chomanicova (World No. 1), Estonia, Kaisa Kukk (World No. 4), Japan, Yuko Tateishi (World No. 5), Great Britain, Verity Rees (World No. 7), and the local favorites Iwona Wicha (Defending Champion also the Course Record Holder with a time of 9 min 28 seconds), and Anna Ficner (2nd Place in Bieg Na Szczyt 2023 at Rondo 1).

It will be an exciting race to watch as 8 out of the World Top 10 Towerrunners will be taking part for the Male side. A 30 second interval between each elite athletes for the flag off and they will be flagging off sharp at 2pm (GMT +2). I will be giving my very best to celebrate Malaysia Day by attempting the Course Record time 7 min 27 sec set by Piotr Lobodzinski and to win it!
